Important changes to the Atlassian cloud pricing
Atlassian is increasing the prices of multiple cloud products, the new prices will be implemented after October 12, 2021. Even though a price change...
Over the past years, Atlassian has been highly committed to becoming a cloud-first company by assisting its customers in easing their way into the Atlassian Cloud. For instance, after the past price update, Atlassian reduced the self-hosted product offerings and provided customers with advantaged pricing plans to motivate clients to take the leap into the Cloud.
The price on these advantaged plans is scheduled to increase on February 15, 2022, as Atlassian currently brings advantaged prices closer to the list.
How will the price of my licences increase?
The price of your licence will depend on the products you are subscribed to, which user tier you are and the date of purchase of your subscription.
What are the changes to server licences?
The sale of new server licences stopped on February 2, 2021. Therefore, after February 2, 2022, there will be no further development of features for server.
Although, customers have the option to renew their maintenance until February 2, 2024. The maintenance price for specific server products has also increased, ensuring ongoing platform security and support.
What are the changes on Data Center licences?
Data Center licences will also increase for subscriptions purchased before February 2, 2021. So if you bought your licence before this date, you should benefit from an advantaged price plan (less than Atlassian list prices) that will eventually rise to meet the new Atlassian list prices over time.

Atlassian is currently developing 40 new features, making the Cloud one of the most efficient and safe options.
Many individuals are not sure of moving to the Cloud due to the "high price" of the monthly subscriptions. If we compare the monthly price of Cloud versus the payment of software licences, it might seem highly pricey at first glance. Still, if we look at the long term costs, on-premise installations are cost heavy and more challenging to manage, maintain and administrate.
Migrating to the Cloud is a massive hop that reduces infrastructure, platform and security risks to a minimum, increasing performance, decreasing downtime and freeing time for your IT teams to focus on the work that matters.
