Atlassian team'25 updates -Rovo AI, cloud future and our insights from Anaheim

From April 8 to 10, 2025, Anaheim, California, was once again the stage for one of the most important events in the tech and collaboration world: Atlassian Team '25. This year, our team was once again on site together with our partner company Swarmit to experience innovation up close - and to translate these impressions into concrete added value for our customers and partners.

Team '25 is more than just a conference - it is the platform where the Atlassian community comes together to discuss the latest technological developments in the areas of artificial intelligence (AI), DevOps, Agile, ITSM and Cloud. In addition to exciting keynotes, practical workshops and live training sessions, we were able to network with industry leaders, Atlassian experts and innovative tech pioneers. And of course, there was also the legendary bash event - the ultimate celebration of team culture.

Rovo AI and the future of networked collaboration

The undisputed highlight of this year’s Team ’25 was the introduction of Atlassian Rovo – the new AI suite fully embedded into the Atlassian Cloud. Most notably, Rovo will now be available at no additional cost to all cloud customers – a bold move by Atlassian to democratise access to AI and empower teams of all sizes to benefit from intelligent, context-aware collaboration. With this step, Atlassian is redefining how knowledge work is automated and reinforcing its leadership in the AI space.

Three powerful AI apps for real productivity

Rovo will soon be available to all customers with a Cloud plan (Standard, Premium, Enterprise) for Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management or the new Teamwork Collection – and free of charge, up to a still-to-be-defined usage threshold.

The focus is on three core components:

• Rovo Search: context-based, intelligent search across Atlassian tools and over 50 third-party applications - with smart links and follow-up suggestions.
• Rovo Chat: A virtual assistant that provides information, triggers actions and acts as a productive conversation partner - also via voice input and mobile.
• Rovo Studio: A no/low-code platform for creating your own AI agents, workflows and automations - tailored to the individual requirements of a team.

What was previously a standalone product is now natively integrated into the Atlassian cloud platform. The basis is the Teamwork Graph, a new data structure that intelligently maps the relationships between people, projects, content and goals.
