Optimising the accuracy of the forecast for the procurement of goods, warehousing and overall logistics.
SOLUTION
Our demicon experts transferred the existing data, some of which had been created manually, to the AWS Forecast service. By choosing an algorithm, new forecast results could be produced, compared with historical data and thus achieve an immediate improvement in accuracy. With each additional input, the service gathers information on our customer's logistics behaviour.
SUCCESS STORY
The use of AWS Forecast has improved the weekly ordering process by 75 percent through automated forecasting, resulting in a 100 percent increase in accuracy. This reduces overproduction, avoids idle time and saves costs.
